Tension trigger after accused gets bail

Agartala: Jan 28: Victim Moumita's family has expressed anger over the bail granted to the person arrested for the tragic accident in Chandrapur. The family of the deceased college student, Moumita, protested by besieging the police headquarters and made several allegations against the police.

Last Saturday night, Moumita Shil was killed, and her parents were injured when Montosh Dev's car hit them in the Chandrapur area of Agartala. Relatives and locals submitted a deputation to the West District Superintendent of Police, seeking a fair trial in the incident of Moumita Shil's death.

Moumita's relatives have also expressed dissatisfaction with the East Agartala police station, alleging that the accused, Montosh Dev, was not kept in the lock-up after being arrested. They stated that if the police could not arrest him, they would have tried to do so with the help of relatives. The family is upset that the accused in the accident has been granted bail without any trial.

Today, relatives and locals submitted a deputation to the West District Superintendent of Police, demanding a fair trial and proper punishment for the accused in this incident.
