Agartala: Jan 29: The CPI(M) state conference rally at Orient Chowmuhani was a massive success, despite facing numerous challenges. Veteran leader Aghore Debbarma highlighted the party's resilience in the face of obstacles, including vandalized vehicles and attempts to stop people from attending the rally. He criticized the current state of democracy in Tripura, alleging that the common people have been deprived of their democratic rights since 2018.

The rally saw a large turnout from various districts, demonstrating the people's unwavering support for the Left party. Debbarma emphasized that this massive participation was a testament to the faith people have in the CPI(M) and their determination to stand up for their rights.

Notably, the CPI(M) had initially faced venue challenges, with their requests for Swami Vivekananda ground and Umakanta Academy being denied. However, the party persevered, and the rally was eventually held at Orient Chowmuhani.

The event was attended by prominent leaders, including former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Leader of Opposition Jitendra Chowdhury, and national coordinator Prakash Karat. The rally's success underscores the CPI(M)'s continued relevance and the people's trust in the party.
