Agartala: Jan 30: On Martyrs Day, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu paid heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in Agartala. In a solemn ceremony this morning, the Governor laid wreaths and offered floral tributes at two prominent locations in the city: the statue at Murti Prangan, Circuit House, and the Gandhi Bedi at Gandhighat. The ceremony commemorated the sacrifice of those who fought for the country’s freedom and the enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi's principles of non-violence and truth.

Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma was also present at the event, alongside various dignitaries and officials, as they collectively paid their respects to the Father of the Nation. The observance of Martyrs Day holds immense significance, as it marks the day when Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in 1948, a moment in history that shook the entire nation.
