Entrepreneurship Workshop Empowers Seventy Business Enthusiasts in Sepahijala District

Agartala, Jan 29. A six-day workshop aimed at fostering entrepreneurship skills among aspiring business owners successfully concluded at the Old Town Hall of Bishalgarh, Sepahijala District. The training organized by the Society for Entrepreneurship Development, saw the participation of seventy entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, including poultry, piggery, goatery, dairy, rubber processing, and transport.
The event provided a crucial platform for participants to enhance their entrepreneurial acumen, with a focus on business establishment and sustainable enterprise development. The workshop sought to equip them with essential knowledge and skills to facilitate the growth of their businesses for self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.
As part of the program, Kiran Bhowmik, a Ph.D. scholar from the Economics Department of Tripura University, conducted a special session on banking-related matters and business planning. His insights were particularly beneficial for entrepreneurs selected to receive financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Swavalamban schemes, facilitated by various sponsoring banks in the state.
The workshop underscored the significance of financial literacy, strategic business planning, and institutional support in nurturing entrepreneurship. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn practical approaches to overcoming business challenges and availing themselves of financial aid to expand their enterprises.
With such initiatives, the state continues to bolster entrepreneurship, contributing to economic development and job creation. The successful completion of this workshop marks another step towards fostering self-reliant and dynamic business communities in Sepahijala District.
