TMP OBSERVES WORLD INDIGENOUS DAY 2024.

     Agartala: August 09:      With the initiative of Ampi block TMP 31st World Indigenous Day 2024 has been celebrated in Ampi with due dignity. Following the theme "Protecting The Rights Of Indigenous Peoples In Voluntary Isolation And Initial Contact." for 2024 the TMP leaders of Ampi nagar block committee has celebrated the World Indigenous Day programme here in Ampi nagar community hall in Gomati Tripura today. The hon'ble MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has inaugurated the event in the presence of many party dignitaries in the programme. Three ADC residential school students as well as each hostel incharge have taken active participation in the observation. School students have presented beautiful indigenous cultural programmes in the observation event. Addressing the indigenous participants of the event Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has said, "Today on 9th August we are here celebrating the 31st World Indigenous Day 2024. This world indigenous day celebration has been initiated since 1994 AD. To create awareness over the democratic rights, culture, language, foods, costume and haritage of indigenous peoples all over the world this world indigenous day celebration has a immense significance. Our culture and haritage are our precious wealth and our genuine indentity. We have to protect and preserve them." Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Sanjay Jamatia, social activist, Deb Sadhan Jamatia, TMP leader, Subhash Debbarma, social activist and many others remained present in the programme.
