CPI(M) Bishalgarh subdivision committee organizes procession and meeting to demand employment for the unemployed

Agartala: Jan 18: The CPI(M) Bishalgarh subdivision committee recently organized a procession and meeting to demand employment for the unemployed, among other issues. The procession was scheduled to start from the Officetila party office, pass through Bishalgarh market, and return to Officetila for a street corner meeting. However, the Bishalgarh police diverted the procession from in front of the fire service, with police forces standing guard on the road with barricades.
The procession was attended by former minister Bhanulal Saha, CPI(M) state committee editorial board member Manik De, MLA Shyamal Chakraborty, former MLA Keshab Devbarma, and other state-level leaders of the CPI(M). Addressing the gathering, Manik De criticized the BJP government for creating chaos in Tripura over the past six years and spreading corruption throughout the state. He announced a public convention to be held on January 29, 30, and 31 to protest against these issues and appealed to the people to join the convention.
De further stated that the procession was organized to demand employment for the unemployed, 200 days of work with a wage of Rs. 600, control of price rise, financial assistance for those genuinely affected by floods, timely supply of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs to farmers, and various other demands.
