Agartala: Jan 11: Today marked a significant milestone for the Indian National Congress (INC) as 34 voters from indigenous communities joined the party under the leadership of the Shantirbazar Block Congress. This development is a testament to the growing support for the Congress party among indigenous communities in the region.

 

The joining ceremony was attended by several prominent leaders, including Pradesh Congress President Ashis Kumar Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, and former minister Monindra Riang. President Saha addressed the media, stating that the new members had left the Tipra Motha Party and other political parties to join the INC, drawn by the party's ideals, leadership, and vision for the future.

 

This influx of new members strengthens the party's base and sends a message of unity and progress for indigenous people, aligned with the principles of justice and equality that the Congress party stands for. As the party builds its presence in the region, this development fosters a sense of hope and empowerment among the indigenous population, marking a key step in addressing their issues and concerns.
