Families in Tripura Affected by Floods Receive Vital Assistance from DEAA

The Department of Economics Alumni Association (DEAA), which is made up of Tripura University's Economics Department graduates, has lately started a major relief effort to help families that have been severely affected by the region's extraordinary rains and ensuing flooding. A large number of people in the area have lost their houses, belongings, and means of subsistence as a result of the devastating weather event. Professor Subhrabaran Das, Head of the Dconomics Department and Patron of DEAA, also expressed his appreciation for this humanitarian endeavor.In response to the crisis, DEAA has mobilized its members to provide essential aid to over sixty five families residing in Shilghati Gram Panchayat, located in the Kakraban R.D. Block of Gomati District. The association’s relief efforts have focused on distributing crucial supplies such as utensils, including mugs and buckets, to help the affected families begin rebuilding their daily lives. In addition to these practical items, a substantial quantity of clothing has been distributed to ensure that individuals and families are adequately equipped to face the challenges ahead.The relief operation is being led by a dedicated team of DEAA members, including Surajit Adhikari, Prasenjit Paul, Dipraj Saha, Samir Debnath, Arindam Saha, Bandana Paul, Chandana Acharjee, Tapesh Ranjan Chakraborty, Saswata Sen, Chandan Debnath, Monojit Debnath, Pritam Debnath, Mrityunjoy Roy, Manidip Roy and Ranatosh Kr. Deb. This team has worked tirelessly to coordinate the distribution and ensure that the aid reaches those in need effectively and efficiently.Moreover, DEAA has undertaken a comprehensive survey to assess the full extent of the damage and gather data that will be instrumental in formulating recovery strategies.
