Awareness program on cancer prevention held at Agartala Postal Head Office

An awareness program on cancer prevention was organised today at Postal Head Office,Agartala, under the aegis of the Superintendent of Post Offices, Agartala Division for the welfare of the staff and their families.Dr. K. Siva Sree, a Consultant in Medical Oncology at CBCC Cancer Centre, Agartala (ILS),led the session of lecture and presentation. Dr. Sree, who holds an MD in General Medicine and a DM in Medical Oncology from the Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai, delivered an in-depth lecture on cancer prevention, outlining effective strategies and necessary actions to reduce cancer risk.The team of the Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Centre (CBCC), led by Dr Sree highlighted crucial information on lifestyle changes, early detection, and regular screenings, making it highly beneficial for attendees. The Superintendent of Post Manik Lal Das expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Sree and the CBCC, under the American Cancer Foundation for conducting this important and enlightening session in the post office premises.
