Bilal Uddin arrested in connection with Govindpur robbery

Agartala: Mar 02: The Churaibari police have made another breakthrough in the notorious robbery case, arresting Bilal Uddin, alias Helal, a 34-year-old active gang member from South Kadamtala ¹. This comes after the police had already apprehended two suspects, Kabil Hossain and Zamir Uddin, on Wednesday night.

According to Bilal's confession, the police recovered several items used in the robbery, including TSR uniforms, spades, a machete, and a knife from a jungle area in Govindpur. However, the stolen goods and two firearms used in the robbery remain missing.

The police investigation suggests that more individuals were involved in the crime, but their identities are being withheld for now. The arrest of Bilal Uddin has brought some relief to the local population, who were living in fear of the gang's activities. The police will continue to investigate and Bilal Uddin will be sent to court for further remand.
