IPFT observes 16th foundation day

Agartala: Mar 04: The Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) celebrated its 16th foundation day at Agartala Supari Bagan Dasharath Deb Smriti Bhavan. Party president Prem Kumar Reang hoisted the party flag, while general secretary and minister Shuklacharan Noatia and other leaders attended the event ¹.

In his speech, Minister Shuklacharan Noatia highlighted IPFT's journey, which began in 2009 under the leadership of late NC Debbarma. The party emerged with the demand for full statehood for the autonomous district and has since carried out various programs in a democratic manner. Noatia acknowledged that IPFT has faced weaknesses but emphasized the party's resilience and commitment to continuing its struggle in a democratic manner.

The celebration was a significant milestone for IPFT, marking 16 years of its existence and struggle for the rights of indigenous people in Tripura.
