Agartala: Mar 12: In a recent Cabinet meeting, the Tripura government made two key announcements regarding recruitment in the state. Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, speaking at a press conference at the Secretariat, revealed that the Education Department will recruit 118 individuals for the position of Computer Science teachers in Vidyajyoti schools through a written examination. Candidates applying for these positions will need to hold a B.Ed degree. Additionally, the Food Department will recruit 35 individuals for the role of Senior Store Guard. These recruitment decisions are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance public services in the state.

During the press conference, Minister Chowdhury also responded to allegations made by MLA Sudip Roy Barman during a Congress rally the previous day. Barman had claimed that people in Tripura were not receiving ration supplies at fair price shops, which Chowdhury strongly refuted. The Food Minister criticized Barman for making false statements without verifying the facts, emphasizing that such comments were unbecoming of a senior MLA. He accused Barman of using inappropriate political tactics to mislead the public and condemned his remarks.

Chowdhury also highlighted the BJP government’s achievements in the state, notably its initiative to provide free sugar, flour, and semolina to nearly 9 lakh ration cardholders during Durga Puja. He pointed out that no Congress-ruled state in the country had implemented such a scheme, underlining it as a significant step in ensuring food security and welfare for Tripura’s people. The Minister concluded by asserting that the people of Tripura have rejected the Congress party, reflecting their trust in the BJP government’s policies and leadership.
