Taking the advantage of favourable industrial friendly atmosphere, many businessmen outside the state want to invest in Tripura to push the industrial and service sector, said Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday.

“The law and order, which plays a key role in attracting investment, has been improved in the state significantly. The NCRB suggests the law and order situation is stable in the state as state stands fourth slot from the bottom line in the overall crime graph”, he said while addressing a programme at Kalacherra in north district.

Saha said he had been in Jaipur recently where he met at least 50 to 60 businessmen of Rajasthan and they have expressed desire to invest in Tripura. “I have also had a meeting with Ramdev, the yoga guru and he was literally exulted about our state. He assured to invest in the state whatever possibility is available locally”, he said.

Claiming that the government has been working for the betterment of the state and its people, the Chief Minister said steps have been taken to create infrastructures to give a major boost to industrial as well as service sector.

“The state has already two medical colleges while one dental college has already started its maiden journey. More medical collages are coming up in the state. Three Universities are planned to be established”, he said.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly built building of Kalacherra HS School and Bagbassa police station
