Agartala: Mar 07: The Tripura Medical College (TMC) corruption scandal has sparked protests by left-wing youth organizations, SFI and TSU, who are demanding an impartial investigation into the financial irregularities. At the heart of the scandal is an alleged corruption case in the education sector in Tripura, where a teacher from a medical college is accused of passing failed students in exchange for money.
The SFI state secretary, Sandipan Deb, highlighted that despite the severity of the incident, the medical college authorities have not formed an investigation committee. Moreover, the Chief Minister and Education Minister, Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, have remained silent on the issue.
Deb alleged that the Chief Minister is attempting to suppress the investigation to save himself in the TMC corruption scandal. This has led to widespread protests by the left-wing youth organizations, who are seeking a fair investigation into the matter.
