NCC police recovers several soundboxes and machines

Agartala: Jan 04: In the excitement of bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the new one, some overenthusiastic individuals have been causing disturbances with loud music. Following reports in the media, the police administration of the sadar subdivision sprang into action. To control noise pollution, the NCC police station took prompt action, and although slightly delayed, the NCC police seized several soundboxes and machines.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of NCC police station mentioned that for the past two days, soundboxes were being played after 10 PM in the NCC area, causing significant noise pollution. In response, raids were conducted at several locations. The police seized several soundboxes and machines from three places, including one soundbox and machine from the AGM College hostel. Additionally, soundboxes and machines were seized from the house of Paritosh Das in Chanmari and from the Borjala area. A total of 12 soundboxes and machines were confiscated.

The total market value of the seized soundboxes and machines is estimated to be around 2 lakh rupees. This action was taken to curb the rising noise pollution, especially during the festive season, and to ensure the peace and well-being of the residents in the area. The police have urged the public to follow regulations and avoid creating disturbances that affect others.
