Agartala: Mar 10: NSUI state president Sourav Kumar Shil has called for the resignation of the Chief Minister, citing the state government's alleged failure in the education sector. He accused the BJP of working against students' interests and highlighted major issues such as teacher shortages, drug abuse, and systemic failures ¹.
Shil expressed concerns over the growing problem of drug addiction among students, particularly in college campuses, which has worsened over the past seven years. He criticized the state government and the Chief Minister for their indifference towards these issues.
Additionally, Shil questioned the feasibility of BJP National President J.P. Nadda's promise to give scooters to girls who pass their secondary exams, citing the age requirement for obtaining a driving license.
Shil concluded that the education sector's condition under the current government is deplorable and that the state government's resignation is necessary for real change to occur.
