Agartala: June 03: The state government is working to make Tripura's tourism industry more popular in the world. To this end, Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited has taken the initiative of making former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly as the brand ambassador of Raja Tourism. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, chairman of the Board of Directors of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited, said this at the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited at Gitanjali guest house today. He said that Tripura's tourist centers should be worked with more sincerity and responsibility to make them more attractive in future. The board of directors expressed their views in the meeting.

Acting Secretary of Tourism Department LT Darlong started the discussion in the meeting. He presented the 34th Board of Directors Meeting and Action Taken Report of the Tourism Corporation on January 3, 2023. MD Tapan Kumar Das of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited told the meeting that the proposal of five projects of Agartala, Unkoti, Dambur, Udaipur and Chiramura under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme had been sent to the central government for approval. The central government has already approved these two projects, Agartala and Unkoti. IPE Global Limited is responsible for the implementation of this project. He said, under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment project, Durgabari Tea Museum and Tea Garden Development, Ludhua Tea Tourism Development, Brahmakund Eco Tourism Development, Sachindranagar Eco Tourism Development, House Boat Construction in Dumbur Lake, Kamalasagar and Devipur Eco Tourism Development, 30 Tourists in Gandatuisa 8 projects for construction of rooms and water front development at Mahadev Dighi have been sent to Finance Department for approval. It will cost a total of 128.60 crore rupees.

Abhishek Singh, Member of Board of Directors of Tourism Corporation and Secretary of Works, KS Shetty, Chief Chief Conservator of Forests, Chief Wildlife Warden Praveen Agarwal, Joint Director of Tourism Department Jayanta Debbarma, Deputy Director Mrinal Kanti Das, Deputy Secretary of Home Department Sumita Chakraborty, Finance Department were present in the meeting. Secretary Prithviraj Debnath and others participated in the discussion.
