STGT qualified teachers demand immediate recruitment

Hundreds of STGT qualified teachers were detained by the police when they tried to stage a demonstration in front of the Chief Minister’s official residence demanding immediate recruitment of all the qualified STGT teachers. Later, they were released.“We have been trying to meet Chief Minister Manik Saha for the past three years to get a job even after clearing the STGT examinations. Many of us are all set to become over aged because of delay in recruitment. We urge the Chief Minister to do something for us immediately”, said Amal Debnath, one STGT qualified teacher, told the media.According to STGT qualified job aspirations, when the examination was conducted in 2022, the total vacant posts were 230 and by this time it has gone up to 700.  “If the government doesn’t teachers how quality education will be given to the students in government schools. We  urge the Chief Minister to recruit all the STGT qualified teachers immediately”, he said.
