Agartala: May 09: In a show of solidarity and national pride, the Tripura Pradesh Congress organized a grand Tiranga rally in Agartala on Friday to pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army. The rally began in front of the Pradesh Congress Bhavan and passed through various parts of the city, drawing a large number of party workers, youth, and members of the public.

The rally was held in response to the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists. The tragedy has left the nation in shock and grief, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation.

Speaking to the media during the rally, Tripura Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha expressed deep sorrow over the Pahalgam incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the victims' families. He said, “The entire country stands united in mourning, and we are here today to salute the courage and sacrifices of our armed forces who continue to defend our nation from terrorism and extremism.”

Saha further stated that the country is currently going through a historic phase, as India continues to counter the challenges posed by Pakistan. “Despite repeated provocations, India has responded with strength and determination, and our forces are emerging victorious time and again,” he added.

He emphasized that the Congress party stands firmly with the Indian Army and the citizens of the country during these challenging times. The Tiranga rally, he said, was a symbol of unity, patriotism, and unwavering support for the armed forces.

The event concluded with the chanting of patriotic slogans and a renewed pledge to uphold the integrity and sovereignty of the nation.
