Awareness Cum Sensitization Program On Sponsorship Organized

With the initiative of DCPU (District Child Protection Unit) of Gomati a one day awareness cum sensitization program of sponsorship under the scheme 'Mission Vatsalya' has been conducted here in Ampi Nagar town hall in Gomati Tripura today. On this occasion a large number school students, guardians, Asha workers, Angwanadi staffs and local villagers have assembled here in the program venue. In the presence of many distinguished event dignitaries the hon'ble MLA of Ampi Nagar 41 constituency Mr. Pathanlal Jamatia has inaugurated the program. As per the report, aiming to create awareness over child abuse, child marriage, child labour and child protection amidst guardians, parents and villagers the program has focussed over the constitutional laws and restrictions over the life of children. To secure a healthy & happy childhood for each and every child in India, ensure opportunities to enable them to discover their full potential and assist them in flourishing in all respects, in a sustained manner. Mission Vatsalya promotes family based non-institutional care of children in difficult circumstances based on the principle of institutionalization of children as a measure of last resort. To foster a sensitive, supportive, and synchronized ecosystem for children as they transit different ages and stages of their development. This is envisaged to be done by strengthening the institutional framework of child welfare and protection committees and the Statutory and Service delivery structures in all districts of the country. Addressing the gathering Manik Lal Saha, (member of district child welfare committee) has said, "Our fundamental aim is to generate a most favourable atmosphere for all children where they can have a advantageous environment to grow and accomplish their valuable student life without any kind of interruption. Child marriage and child labour create great obstacle for student life and in such circumstance a boy or girl can't obtain their desired goal. We have to maintain our responsibility and provide the appropriate opportunity to be fulfilled in their life". Amidst the other participants there were Prabir Kr. Choudhury, District Child Help Line Coordinator, Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman, Bhagya Debbarma, CDPO supervisor, Satya Sadhan Jamatia, Ampi OC, Ankita Debnath, protection officer, (IC) and many others remained present in the programme.
