CRPF, NYK on collection of rice from villages- Meri Maati Mera Desh

To celebrate Meri Maati Mera Desh program CRPF's 124 Battalion has organized a "Kalash Yatra" under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav along with Nehru Yuva Kendra at different places in Gomati district.
In the programme, they visited the residence of Martyr Sub Inspector Mangal Ram Debbarma of Taidu in Ampinagar and collected soil from the wife of Martyr Mangal Ram Debbarma. In the drive of collecting soil from houses of the common public, a good number of common people including government employees, NGO members also joined the programme with enthusiasm.
Similar programs were organised at Narsinghgarh in west Tripura district on Sunday. The CRPF 81 Battalion and NYK ran a door-to-door campaign there including soil collection from the residents including soil collection from the parents of Martyr constable Santanu Sarkar of Narsing Garh.
The Dy. Commandant Ojit Singh of CRPF said the common public of the both areas was cooperative with the battalion soldiers and accompanied them in the drive of Meri Maati Mera Desh. During the campaign, Shri Singh explained to the local people the significance of the campaign.
