Farmer’s income doubles in state, says BJP state president

 BJP state president and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee on Sunday said the farmer’s income has doubled during the BJP led government regime. While speaking at a party programme at Pratapgarh, he said the farmer’s income which was Rs. 6580 annually in 2017-18 has risen to Rs. 13,590 annually now. It means, the farmer’s income has doubled during the BJP’s rule.Bhattacharjee said the BJP government has been working in the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has been dreaming of improvement in the socio economic condition of the farmers.“The farmers are receiving Rs. 6000 annually under the PM Kishan scheme while facilities to Kishan Credit Cards have also been extended to the farmers. Seeds and fertilizer are being supplied to the farmers at subsidized price”, he said.Currently, three districts of the state have become self-sufficient in food grain production while three districts are on their way to become self reliant. The Agriculture department has taken innovative measures to increase productivity in the state which will transform the socio economic condition of the farmers.
