Human trafficker wanted in many cases arrested at Madhupur

A  man involved in several human trafficking cases was arrested from South Madhupur under Madhupur police station on Monday night, said a police official. Based on specific information, a police team headed by Asst Sub Inspector Sudip Bardhan carried out raid in the house of Samarjit Bardhan and arrested him. Soon after, he was taken to police station for interrogation.Samarjit is wanted in several human trafficking cases registered with Madhupur police station over the past few months, said a police officer adding he has been absconding for the past few days.A specific case under human trafficking has been registered against the accused and an investigation is underway, he said adding the accused will be produced before the court for seeking police remand
