Winter Clothing Distribution Event Held on 121st Birth Anniversary of Vaishnavacharya Shree Shri Mahanaambrat Brahmachari

Agartala: Dec 26: On Thursday, a winter clothing distribution event was organized at the Shree Shree Mahanaam Angan in Banmali Pur, on the occasion of the 121st birth anniversary of Vaishnavacharya Shree Shri Mahanaambrat Brahmachari. The event was arranged by the Nikhil Tripura Mahanaam Sebak Sangh. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the event and delivered an address.
In his speech, the Chief Minister emphasized that religion is recognized through actions and urged that real religion is practiced when individuals work for the welfare of others, especially when social and immoral forces can be redirected towards positive community service. He stressed the importance of purity in one’s heart, stating that it is essential for working for the betterment of society.
The Chief Minister also praised the organizers for their continuous social initiatives. He acknowledged that the Nikhil Tripura Mahanaam Sebak Sangh has not only organized the winter clothing distribution but also conducted various social activities such as blood donation camps and health camps. He highlighted that the Sangh follows the ideals of Mahanaambrat Brahmachari and is committed to humanitarian service. Furthermore, he stated that spreading the teachings and ideals of Mahanaambrat within society is our collective responsibility.
At the end of the ceremony, the Chief Minister distributed winter clothes to the underprivileged in the area. Additionally, he visited the Sundari Kali Temple in Kasari Patti, which is nearly 200 years old. The temple had sunk partially underground, but the Agartala Municipal Corporation, with the help of a jack, lifted the 10-ton temple. The renovation, which cost around twenty lakh rupees, was overseen by the Chief Minister and Mayor Deepak Majumder.
