Prakash Karat to inaugurate CPI (M) state conference

CPI (M)’s coordinator Prakash Karat and party’s politburo member Brinda Karat would arrive in Tripura to inaugurate party’s 24^th (Tripura) state conference commencing on December 29, said a senior party leader on Tuesday.The three-day long conference will be held at Town Hall.“CPI(M)’s coordinator Prakash Karat and CPI(M) politburo member Brinda Karat are set to arrive here to inaugurate the party's state conference beginning on December 29. To mark the programme, a rally will be held at Vivekananda ground where Karat and senior party leaders will address”, party’s state secretary, Jitendra Chowdhury said.Chowdhury said the party has almost completed conferences of branch  committees, local committees, divisional committees and district committees to pave the way for the state conference. The party has over 4000 branches, more than 300 local, 24 divisional and eight district committees in the northeastern state
