IHEPA Winter School on Health Economics 2024-25 at Tripura University

The Department of Economics, Tripura University, in collaboration with the Indian Health Economics and Policy Association (IHEPA), a registered society under the Society’s Registration Act, 1960, dedicated to promoting research and dialogue on health economics and policy is set to host the IHEPA Winter School on Health Economics 2024-25 from February 17 to 21, 2025, at Tripura University, Agartala.The five-day program is designed for young faculty members, early-career researchers, and postgraduate students interested in health economics and healthcare management. With a total capacity of 30 participants, 50 percent of the seats are reserved for candidates from the North Eastern Region of India, subject to application availability.The event will feature prominent sessions on:  Fundamental concepts and tools in health economics, Health Inequalities Assessment Tool (HIAT), Research and career opportunities in health economics, Exposure to large-scale datasets (NSSO, NFHS, IHDS, WHO) and machine learning in health economics research and Networking opportunities with national-level experts in the field.The program coordinators are: Prof. Salim Shah, Department of Economics, Tripura University, Coordinator, Dr. Sanjib Kumar Majhi, Associate Professor, Tripura University, Joint Coordinator  and Dr. William Joe, Secretary, IHEPA  The Winter School aims to foster research and dialogue in health economics, providing participants with opportunities to interact with leading scholars and gain hands-on experience with large-scale datasets and analytical tools. Additionally, it serves as a platform to explore career paths and collaborative projects in the health economics sector. This initiative highlights Tripura University’s commitment to advancing research and capacity building in health economics, especially for scholars from the North Eastern Region of India
