Moboshar Ali and Jawhar Shaha rewarded as govt rejig PSUs, Sports Council

 The state government appointed heads of public sector undertakings and sports bodies on Monday, a routine exercise aimed at rehabilitating party leaders in different wings.

Former CPI(M) leader, Moboshar Ali, who had joined the BJP just days before the Assembly election and lost to the Congress candidate has been appointed as the chairman of Tripura Board of Wakf.

Santosh Saha,who was considered as close to the anti CM group has been dropped and picked Sanjit Ghosh as the chairman of Tripura Tea Development Corporation.

While Balai goswami has been appointed as chairman of TRTC, MLA Pramod Reang has been made as the new chairman of TFDPC and Abhijit Deb is the new chairman of MARKFED.

MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury has been appointed as chairman of SC Welfare and Development Corporation and Sukanta Ghosh is the new head of Tripura Sports Council. Party spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee has been made head of the General Body of Society for Management of Cultural Complex and Jawhar Shaha has been made the chairman of Horticulture Corporation  Ltd. Senior party leader Ratan Ghosh has been made the chairman of Gomati Cooperative Milk Producers’ Ltd.
