Opp MLAs skips DISHA meeting in West Tripura

Opposition MLAs on Tuesday skipped District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA), a district level meeting to review the centrally sponsored schemes held in the conference of District Magistrate (DM), West Tripura.However, all the BJP MLAs of West Tripura district joined the review meeting presided over by the Member of Parliament (MP), West Tripura Parliamentary constituency, Byplab Kumar Deb.Responding to the absence of Congress and CPI(M) MLAs in the meeting, the MP said, “They don’t come to attend the important district level review meeting of around 47 central government sponsored schemes. They are different species and on the verge of extinction”.“By fortune, they (CPIM) won two or three Assembly seats with the help of the Congress. They will vanish in future because of their unconstitutional attitude”, he said.Senior Congress MLA, Sudip Roy Barman, however, ridiculed the DISHA meeting saying that how come he (Biplab Kumar Deb) will show the disha (aim) when he himself seems dishaheen (aimless).“Fruitful discussion doesn’t take place in such a meeting. There is no meaning to attending the meeting to have good refreshment. I don’t attend such meeting”, Roy Barman said
