7 Ramnagar center nominated independent candidate submitted nomination papers

Purushottam Roy Burman, a Left Front-backed independent party nominated by the Tripura Human Rights Organization, filed his nomination papers on Monday morning. He is going to contest the upcoming assembly elections from 7 Ramnagar assembly constituency. He organized a huge procession from Ker Choumuhani area and went to file nomination for the office of Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

Nominated candidate Purushottam Roy Burman handed over the nomination paper to Additional Headquarter Sub-Divisional Magistrate B Das. A large number of lawyers were present in the nomination filing procession. After filing the nomination papers, the nominated candidate of the independent party, Purushottam Roy Burman, addressed the media and said that the issue of reviving democracy and establishing law and order was brought before the people in view of the upcoming elections. And he is getting spontaneous response from the people by being the nominated candidate from the area. He claimed that people from all parts are standing by. He also said that support is getting from all democratic parties including Congress, CPIM. Because there has been anarchy for the last five years. The constitution is not working. So people have decided to get rid of it, he said.
