Agartala: Dec 19: After nearly seven years of forming the government in the state, the BJP has announced the construction of its permanent state office in the New Nagar area of the Barjala Assembly constituency. The new office will span over two kanis of land, and the land has already been purchased, with soil filling and leveling completed. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone for the office on December 22, 2024, and a ground-breaking ceremony will also take place on the same day.
Preparations for the event are already underway. Former MLA Dr. Dilip Kumar Das, along with local BJP leaders, visited the site to oversee the ongoing work. Dr. Das shared that nearly 2 kanis of land had been acquired for the construction of the state BJP office, which will be a four-story building utilizing modern technology. Despite the state office being located a bit away from the city's central hub, it will be equipped with all modern facilities.
The construction is expected to cost several crores, and the state government has already made preparations for the project. This office will be a significant development for the BJP, ending speculations about the party’s long-awaited infrastructure. The office will feature dedicated spaces for party leaders to hold programs, a conference hall, accommodations for VIPs, a library, and underground facilities for various functions.
The construction of this state-of-the-art office reflects the BJP's commitment to strengthening its organizational base and providing a modern workspace for its leaders and workers. The inauguration and the start of construction mark a milestone for the party in its ongoing efforts to expand its presence and functionality in the region.
