Agartala: Nov 13: Today, Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee inaugurated a Jan Aushadhi (generic medicine) counter at Agartala railway station, marking an important milestone in improving healthcare accessibility for passengers. During the inauguration, which was attended by Bhattacharya and virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the MP emphasized the significance of this initiative in providing affordable medicines to the public, especially in remote areas.

In his address, Bhattacharjee also highlighted the ongoing improvements in rail connectivity in Tripura and the broader North Eastern region of India. He commended the efforts of Prime Minister Modi for significantly enhancing the railway infrastructure since coming to power. Bhattacharjee noted that the transformation of the railway network in the North East has been remarkable, particularly the conversion of the tracks from meter gauge to broad gauge, making travel more efficient and comfortable. He also pointed out the completion of electrification work, which has further enhanced the speed and sustainability of rail services.

Bhattacharjee shared an optimistic outlook for the region's railway future, stating that the Vande Bharat Express, a high-speed train, is expected to be launched in Tripura within the next few months. This development, he said, would provide a major boost to connectivity, making travel faster and more comfortable for the people of the state and the entire North Eastern region. Bhattacharjee concluded his remarks by expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his vision and continued support in modernizing India's rail infrastructure, which is poised to bring long-term benefits to the people of Tripura and the surrounding areas.
